POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – Marist Director of Rowing Tom Sanford has announced the addition of Julia Rigothi to the coaching staff for the 2017-18 season.
Rigothi was a four-year member of the Varsity Eight and a two-time team captain for the Red Foxes before graduating Magna Cum Laude this past spring after majoring in Biomedical Sciences with a minor in Mathematics.
“We are excited to retain Julia as a member of our program and staff after her recent graduation,” said Sanford. “Julia will continue to be an excellent role model for our student-athletes. She is excited to coach and teach our athletes the importance of working hard and loving what you do.”
Along with being a five-time member of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Boat of the Week, Rigothi competed at the 2016 U23 World Championship United States National Team Trials in Women’s Double.
