WALLKILL, NY – The Red Raiders of Red Hook had lost to the Rhinebeck boys soccer team twice during the season. Compounding the odds in Rhinebeck’s favor was a decisive MHAL championship semi final win over rival Spackenkill in which the Hawks shutout the Spartans 4-0.
But as they say in sports “tough to beat the same team three times in a season”, and that was the case in the 2017 MHAL Championship game.
Red Hook led 2-1, but Quinn Graziano hit the back of the net to even things up at 2 apiece in the second half. Red Hook came back with two unanswered goals by Hatden Campolong and Jason Allen to seal the victory.
