PROVIDENCE, Rhode Island – The Marist men’s basketball team suffered a 90-69 loss at Brown in its final non-conference game of the season on Friday at the Pizzitola Sports Center. Junior forward Isaiah Lamb scored a career-high 28 points for the Red Foxes. It’s the most points scored by a Red Fox in a single game, this season.
Lamb hit 11 of 17 shots from the field and was a perfect 5-5 from the foul line in his 33 minutes on the court.
The game started off with both teams battling for dominance. there were nine lead changes in the first 12 minutes of the game, but Brown outscored Marist 16-4 in the final 5:44 of the first half to take a 46-31 lead into the half time locker room.
Brown continued its momentum in the second half, leading by as many as 26 points with 3:30 left to play.
Junior guard Brian Parker gave the Red Foxes two double-digit scorers with 19 points. Parker also tied for the team high with six rebounds and led the Red Foxes with three assists.
Brown’s Desmond Cambridge led all scorers with 33 points.
The Red Foxes fell short from three point range hitting just 5 of 19 for 26%.
Marist committed 15 turnovers that resulted in 31 points.
