LEWISBURG, PA – Camille Renaud led the Red Foxes with a career high four goals to lead the Marist Women’s lacrosse to a 13-8 win over Bucknell, Wednesday afternoon. The Red Foxes dominated the draw circle going 19 for 23. With the win, Marist is now an even 3-3 on the season.
Morgan Jaycox scored the first goal of the game but Bucknell responded minutes later to tie the game up. Jaycox scored two goals and had three assists. Hailey Wagner won three consecutive draw controls, as part of her career high 11 draw controls. Marist capitalizing on all three to take a 4-1 lead. Wagner finished with two goals and two assists.
Marist added a couple of scores to end the half with a 7-3 lead.
Renaud opened up the second half with her third goal of the game. Both teams went scoreless for the next nine minutes until Bucknell scored on a women-up goal to bring the score to 8-4. The Red Foxes dominated draw control to maintain possession and played stout defense down the stretch to seal the victory.
Eve Calabria led Bucknell with three goals and one assist.
Marist goalie Delaney Galvin finished with 11 saves. She has had double digit saves in all but one game this season.
The Red Foxes return home Saturday to face Binghamton at Tenney Stadium at 1 pm.
