MERCY ME! Marlboro Baseball Hit Parade Continues

MARLBORO – Twenty seven runs in two days (41 runs in four games, if you’re counting) and the Marlboro baseball team is showing what it can do with a hitting line up and a solid pitching rotation.

24 hours after beating Rondout 15-3. the Iron Dules come right back and score 12 runs against Wallkill for a 12-2 win Wednesday afternoon.

41 runs for and only 7 runs against in four games.

The Iron dukes set the tone with a three run first inning, then exploded for seven more runs in the third.

Freddie Callo got the win pitching 4 innings with five strikeouts while allowing six hits and two earned runs.

At the plate, once again, Sam Mongelli led the hit parade with a double, single, and 2 RBIs  Brendan Mahusky added a couple of hits and two RBIs. Eric Grzechowski  and Trevor Taylor contributed two hits each.

Andrew Strobach banged out two singles for Wallkill and drove in a run.

Marlboro travels to Highland Thursday for a 4;15 game.
