VIDEO: Aiden Hilderbrand Drops 42 to Lead Jay Over Tuckahoe

SUFFERN, NY –  Aiden Hilderbrand scored 42 points Saturday against Tuckahoe and did it without hitting a single 3-pointer.  The Patriots final game of the Suffern tournament was an 85-64 road win with three Patriots in double digit scoring.  Tommy DiRusso had 15 points including two 3-pointers and Justin Long chipped in with 10 points.

The Patriots jumped out to an impressive 32-8 lead in the first quarter, but Tuckahoe was able to outscore John Jay in the middle quarters to cut the lead to single digits in the third quarter.   “Tuckahoe gave us all we could handle”, said head coach Terry Feeley.  “They pressed us the entire game. We got a little loose with the ball in the middle two quarters allowing Tuckahoe to make a game of it.”

Tuckahoe was led by Malik Moore’s 37 points, which included five 3-pointers

Hilderbrand’s 42 points is a season high with John Jay, after transferring over from Our Lady of Lourdes just before the season began.  “He did a nice job of finishing at the end of our press breaker’s”, added Coach Feeley, “He was the recipient of the hard work of our guards”

Hilderbrand was named to the All-Tournament team.

Brady Hilderbrand and Mike Scarpelli each scored 9 points.  B. Hilderbrand hit two 3-pointers in the game.

John Jay is now 5-4 and will face Mamaroneck, on the road, Thursday.
