VIDEO: Ketcham Girls Leave it all at the County Center

White Plains, NY – The Ketcham Indians girls basketball team started the season with the mission to become one of the elite teams in the area.  Despite the 79-49 loss to 7-time Sectional champ Ossining, the Indians took a big step towards that goal.

“In order to be one of the elite teams in the section, we need to beat some elite teams, and this year we did that”, stated Head Coach Pat Mealy after the Class AA semi final loss to the Pride.    “We have a lot to work on and a lot to build on, but these kids have bought in and I couldn’t be prouder of this team”.

Ketcham upset Ursuline to get to the County Center, but knew they were up against it, having lost to Ossining earlier in the season by 28 points.  “We got beat by a better basketball team in every which way. ”

Katie Wall led Ketcham  22 points

Ossining junior Aubrey Griffen  led all scorers with  33 points

In the other Section 1 Class AA semi final game, Lourdes beat Albertus Magnus 75-61.     Lourdes vs Magnus highlights
