FISHKILL – It’s season 24 for the Hudson Valley Renegades. While the footprint is the same, Dutchess Stadium has improved and upgraded over the years, and 24 never looked so good.
Opening Day at the home field started Wednesday with plenty of first pitches, ice, cream, hamburgers, and cotton candy.
While the game didn’t turn out the way Renegades fans may have hoped, with a 3-2 loss to the Staten island Yankees, Renegades baseball still has plenty of activity for the family.
There were fireworks after the game, and a mini burst of fireworks in the second when Vidal Brujan hit a solo home run over the right field fence and into the tress.
The Renegades picked up another run in the 3rd, but Staten Island came back with two in the 7th to go on to the victory and spoil the Renegades home opener.
